Taipei, March 19, 2010 (CENS)--The Luxgen Motor Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan`s Yulon Group, recently claimed that it has signed an agency agreement in Oman.
Luxgen Motor said that it would begin shipments as soon as possible in the third quarter to Oman. In June, the company will take part in the Vietnam auto show and is expected to sign another agreement with a major agent there.
Since September 2009, more than 3,800 Luxgen7 multi-purpose vans (MPVs) have been sold, immediately making Luxgen Motor the No. 7 auto seller in Taiwan. In addition, the company has also taken about 1,000 firm orders in two months for its Luxgen7 sport utility vehicle (SUV) model, which is scheduled to be pushed into market in June this year. Industry sources said that the sales potential of the Luxgen7 SUV would be quite strong due to the model`s special tastes of luxury and intelligent.
More and more local automakers turned their attitude toward the Luxgen own-branding efforts of Yulon. Many of them originally were pessimistic about the newcomer in the market, but some of them now even forecast that Luxgen Motor is expected to become one of the top-five auto seller in Taiwan in the near future after the company continue to push the Luxgen7 SUV and Luxgen7 CEO (top-end MPV model).
After initially gained a foothold in Taiwan, Luxgen Motor has been aggressively tapping the global market, especially focusing on the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia regions, by actively taking parting in various auto shows.
In late 2009, Luxgen Motor attended the Dubai Auto Show and won hot responses from regional auto dealers in 14 nations. The company`s quality homegrown car models are expected to continue win shares in different national markets in the targeted area.
